The album “BUTTERFLY” aims to metaphorically capture the liberative energy coming from a butterfly’s flying with flaps of the wings. AILEE will show the public her peerless expressiveness and grooves through her various musical colors.

In order to compensate the long two-year vacancy in her career, she took a role of a head producer of the album and poured her heart on each track. Moreover, she worked with various other talented artists, such as CHEN of EXO and DJ KOO, to perfect the quality of the album.
From her first performance on the title “Room shaker“, the energy floods the room and shakes the journalists.
AILEE was first interviewed by the MC to present her album and her title song “Room Shaker“.
“It is a hip-hop song with exciting beats. The title means that I am going to shake and capsize every room I am in.”
For this song the dance takes an important place because people know AILEE as a talented singer, so she wanted to get out of her comfort zone and show another facet of her artistic talents.
“In this choreography, there’s a part where I crawl on the stage in a sensual manner. I scraped my knees a lot, but many told me that it is one of the most memorable dances.”
AILEE introduces us then, a little more the album. “BUTTERFLY” is my second regular album, which contains 10 songs. I wanted to show unknown sides of me with distinct sounds and atmosphere. As butterflies have diverse wing patterns.
AILEE then came back to a point that marked her during the preparation of this new album. Since “I’ll go to you like the first snow,” which was loved by so many people, I felt a lot of pressure. We changed our title song every month and cherrypicked the ten most beautiful songs for this album.

“. I had a song that I hoped to do a collab with CHEN, so I contacted him through the agencies and proposed a collaboration. Fortunately and thankfully, CHEN immediately said yes to my proposal. CHEN was such a professional singer. Though he had done such a great job on his first try, he even came to the studio again and re-recorded because he wanted perfection. I want to say I really appreciate his efforts and dedication again”

What’s your aim for this album in terms of “success” on the music chart? If you achieve your aim, what are you going to do?
“If I were to stay on the chart for minimum a week, I would count that as a success. And I promise that I will dress up as Jasmin from Aladdin and shoot and upload me performing the title song on social media.”
KSTATION TV took the time to ask 2 questions to this extraordinary and talented singer. We asked him first.
At the moment, many artists from the world of kpop perform abroad for concerts, fan meetings … Are there any countries where you dream to go?
“I performed in LA, USA and the audience there really enjoyed my concert. I am trying to prepare myself for performing overseas whichever country calls me.”
Then we try to get his opinion on the breakthrough of kpop in the world.
AILEE is a confirmed artist belonging to the first generations of artists “Kpop”. Exactly the “Kpop” is a huge step forward with fans around the world right now, what do you think of this evolution ?
“There have been huge changes in tastes of the K-pop audience and trends. Therefore, I had to modify and adapt my songs many times lest I fall behind the trends. I recorded twenty songs and had to pick ten most trendy songs. There are still many songs in the stock.”
