Cliché de JACKSON WANG dans son nouveau clip "100 Ways"
This Friday, March 20th, JACKSON WANG released “100 Ways“, his first single of 2020.
A week before his birthday, JACKSON WANG released his new single “100 Ways” which he announced on March 15th. Its release was a real success: as soon as it was released, his title appeared in global and local trends in many countries on Twitter.
In this clip, JACKSON WANG reveals himself as an artist who is both nuanced and contrasted. The melody and the extremely modern lyrics are confronted with an old decor. The Chinese singer is shown here dressed in clothes from ancient China in a landscape without artifice, if only for the special effects and the harmonious colors which give a warm tone to the video.
On the occasion of the release of this new song, JACKSON WANG confided in Jeff Benjamin (Billboard) to explain what this last production meant to him. He who presents himself as “Jackson Wang from China” at the various events which he attends, he wishes to present Chinese culture to the Western world, “to show what his life looks like on this part of the planet to the Western public“.
Musically, he overcomes the categorization of artists into a single musical genre: identifying him as a simple “rapper” is no longer enough. As with his first album “MIRRORS“, JACKSON WANG explores new musical touches borrowing sounds from several genres.
Finally, the public rediscovers the artist’s artistic note during each production. When he released “Bullet To The Heart” last October, his video clip drew a parallel with what he had gone through throughout his musical journey thanks to a metaphor. This time, in addition to the reminder of Chinese culture, it is the aesthetics of the clip that goes beyond what he has been able to do before. The story told in the clip is that of a man who, resurrected by four men, will be able to bring back to life a woman who seems to be his partner.
In addition, his association with KINJAZ is a real success: for the first time, he includes a choreography in duet with a woman, thus giving extremely romantic and visually pleasant shots.
JACKSON‘s new single “100 Ways” has been available on all platforms since 5 am and 88rising has also released a video with the lyrics of the song.
