H&D is a duo consisting of members LEE HANGYUL and NAM DOHYON who are debuting under the agency MBK Entertainment after having participated in the show Produce X 101.
While going on stage, the two boys announce they haven’t slept much the night before, excited to make their debut today. Then, they pose for the cameras with pride and charisma.
Before performing their title song “Soul“, the two members briefly explain that this track is sexy, compared to the second, “Good night“, which is cute. LEE HANGYUL represents the first aspect of their duo, while NAM DOHYON the second. They then take a posture in accordance with the concept proper to each.
Saddened at not being able to do a lot of promotions because of the Covid-19, the boys wanted to be confident and reassuring. They are especially happy, admitting that they did not expect to be able to start one day. The Produce X 101 show in which they participated was able to bring them a lot of experience in various fields. The simple fact of standing on stage today is a success for the duo.
Embarrassed, they are just as impatient as the fans to discover their MV which they still haven’t been able to see. Therefore, it is with the journalists that they watch for the first time the video of “Soul” which is then broadcasted. The MV alternates touches of white, black, red and blue, highlighting the talent of LEE HANGYUL and NAM DOHYON. The rhythm of the song is lively, the video works, and the dance is neat.
H&D returns to the stage in a new outfit to perform “Soul“. Surrounded by numerous dancers. The members find their place and stand out in their white and immaculate attire. When the performance is over, they run out of steam and announce that they have planned activities in Japan once the virus has dissipated. They also say they are still in very good contact with the members of group X1. NAM DOHYON then says a few words in English, asking their foreign fans to follow them well because they work hard and they will prepare many more songs in the future. So they both hope to receive love from many people.
During the talk with the journalists, NAM DOHYON raps a few verses, while LEE HANGYUL sings a cover called “I don’t wanna be with you anymore“. His crystal clear voice filling the room. H&D then thank everyone, before greeting one last time and closing this debut showcase for the album “SOULMATE“.
This first album contains 10 songs, a standee, two photocards and a photo film. The photobook has forty pages, all blue like the general packaging of the album. The tracks are as follow:

- « Good night » : it is a lullaby for those who fail to sleep when they are tired by their daily life, to comfort those who want to be, with the warm voices of LEE HANGYUL and NAM DOHYON.
- « 낯설어 » : this song, composed by NAM DOHYON, is a song about nostalgia of separation over the seasons and over time, with impressive lyrics.
- « 빈손 » : this is a song that expresses the gratitude of the singers for their fans who have always been by their side.
- « 날 다른 사람으로 만들어 » : this track expresses the fact of becoming a different person when we are in the grip of feeling various emotions when we are in love.
- « 오늘보다 더 나은 내일 » : it is a song they have made for the fans during the preparation of their first fanmeeting, “Happy Day: Birthday“. NAM DOHYON participated in the writing and the composition of the song, to comfort those who suffer from difficulties.
