The Cheolsan Community Welfare Center in Gwangmyeong City, Gyeonggi Province, announced today that it has awarded 3.5 million won in scholarships to Haan Middle School (하안 중학교) and Gwangmyeong Management Accounts High School (광명 경영 회계 고등학교), from the ONEW‘s fan club, member of the popular boy group SHINEE.
The scholarships issued on this day were collected by the members of the ONEW’s fan club and given to the schools, to be awarded to a total of 14 students in each of them.
The ONEW‘s fan club has offered scholarships to two schools every year since 2009, the total amount of scholarships paid to 112 students so far, reached 52 million won.
“We are grateful to the members of the ONEW’s fan club for not forgetting to offer scholarships to students of ONEW alumni every year,” said Lee Gyeon Ho, director of Gwangmyeong Management Accounts High School (광명 경영 회계 고등학교 ) from Gwangmyeong.
