The news had already been released a few months ago, however, several interesting information has been made public recently.

Bighit entertainment, the agency of the group BTS, had announced in August 2019 that the production of a drama on the universe of BTS would take place. Two days ago, following a convention, the progress of the production of the drama and other information was shared which allows fans of the group and lovers of Asian drama to grasp the common thread of this one.
The great revelation following this convention was the context of the drama as well as the announcement of the title. Thus, the drama will have the title “Blue Sky” and will retrace, as already mentioned in the past, the fictional universe of BTS which is notably broadcast with the MVs of the albums “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life” or the Webtoon “Save me“. The story will thus be the story of seven broken boys who become friends and help each other find a taste for life.
However, the drama will include fictional events independent of the universe created by the group and the characters will not bear the first or last names of scenes of the members of BTS, thus, the names Namjoon (RM), SeokJin (Jin), Suga ( Yoongi), Hoseok (J-Hope), Jimin, V (Taehyung) and Jungkook will not be mentioned in the series.

At the current stage, the auditions for the attribution of the principal role are still in progress (the auditions will be closed this month) but the staff who works on the production of the series announced that the roles of BTS will be interpreted by actors which will debut on the screens, so there will be only new faces at the head of the poster.
The production team was also revealed in the open during this convention, we find Kim Jae Hong (Blooded Palace: The War of Flowers) as producer, Kim Soo Jin (Old Miss Diary) as screenwriter and writer and the production company Chorokbaem Media (Memories of the Alhambra) is in charge of the production of the drama.
Although all the roles are not yet assigned and the actors are still unknown, shooting will begin in September. The broadcast would be for next year. No information has been shared about the TV channel that will have a monopoly on the broadcast of the drama, but negotiations are currently underway with streaming platforms (such as Netflix, Amazon and others) so that they can make it available. of the international public.

Until we can watch this drama, we can find BTS in the docu-series “Break The Silence” which retraces the Speak Yourself tour of 2019 and highlights the behind the scenes of it.
