A second component which promises to be of higher quality.
Four years after the total decimation of South Korea in “Train to Busan“, the zombie thriller that has captivated audiences worldwide, the famous director Yeon Sang Ho presents “Peninsula“, the next spicy chapter of his post world -apocalyptic.
“Jung Seok, a soldier who had previously escaped the wasteland, relives the horror when he is assigned to a secret operation with two simple objectives: recover and survive. When his team unexpectedly comes across survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best – or the worst – of human nature prevails in the worst circumstances.“
In the first installment “Train to Busan”, the hero Seok Woo (Gong Yoo) tries to save his daughter Soo An from the virus that is ravaging Korea.
The film released in 2016 and directed by Yeon Sang Ho, didn’t expect to receive such success. The film was nominated and awarded at a multitude of festivals.

Proud of this strong audience and these awards, the director decided to produce a second part “TRAIN TO BUSAN: PENINSULA“.

This time the main role will be held by the actor Gang Dong Won that you could see in “A violent prosecutor“, “Golden slumber” or “Haunters“, and we will find in the cast Lee Jung Hyun, Kwon Hae Hyo, Le Ree, Kim Min Jae and Lee Ye Won. Will they manage to get out of this apocalyptic situation?
The film is scheduled for summer 2020.
