BLACKPINK, which has grown into a global group, will release their first full album after four years since their debut in October.

YG Entertainment, its agency, today announced that BLACKPINK will release its first full album on October 2nd, posting a poster announcing the release of the album on its official blog.
BLACKPINK has released its 2018 album “BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA” in Japan, but it will be the first time since their Korean debut in 2016.
“BLACKPINK will focus on the global market in 2020 with systematic and thorough planning and practice,” said an official from YG Entertainment. He added: “The ongoing global project with Universal Music, the world’s largest music group, is being carried out step by step to take BLACKPINK‘s biggest leap forward.”
BLACKPINK previously signed a deal with Universal Music’s label Interscope Records in 2018 and began to enter the global market in earnest.
Along with the pre-released track “How you like that“, released last month, the song will be included in the full album, ranking 20th and 33rd on the UK official singles chart and the Billboard main chart “Hot 100”, respectively, scoring records for a K-pop girl group. Next month, the group will release its second pre-released song.
