TREASURE: Discover the twelve members in video

Short videos have been published to introduce the twelve members of TREASURE in order to get to know them better.

A one-minute vertical video is the perfect way to easily get acquainted with a member of YG Entertainment’s new boys group, TREASURE, which will debut in the next few days.

With a total of 12 members, born between 1999 and 2005, this new group opens the way to a new generation of “idols”, very young but full of energy, passionate about music and dance and above all eager to make themselves known a place in this industry where groups and faces abound.

TREASURE also marks a turning point for its agency with for the first time the presence of Japanese members, four in number (YOSHI, MASHIHO, ASAHI and HARUTO). The group was indeed founded by YG Entertainment with the particular objective of reaching the Japanese market more than before by making the group more accessible than those who preceded them in the agency.

Below, you can find these videos which outline the profile of each member (there are therefore twelve in total) grouped by three, accompanied by a quick summary for each member (going from left to right on the thumbnail) .

These videos follow a very bright and colorful concept to highlight the youth, energy and respective charms of each. Key themes mark different sequences (first name, age, blood group, hobbies, nicknames, position in the group, what it represents for him, etc.) but they are not all mentioned systematically. This makes the content more dynamic and each new information appears as a new discovery and makes everyone’s personality even more unique. Also, the boys could be filmed with some of their own belongings or accessories. TREASURE certainly has twelve members, but above all twelve young boys with unique and diverse personalities, and each brings to the whole its own identity and its own color.

In the first video (above), we find HYUNSUK, HARUTO and JUNGHWAN.

HYUNSUK: Korean, 21 years old of international age. Blood group A. His nicknames are Ddaeng, Jelly-Hyun and Purple boy. In the group, he is a rapper and one of the leaders (with JIHOON). He loves fashion, football, hip-hop and writing songs. For him, TREASURE is “musical equipment” (because “we are a band with irreplaceable musical equipment, producing the best music”).
HARUTO: Japanese, 16 at international age. Blood group B. He has both parents and a younger sister. He’s a rapper and has the personality of a lazy man. His large size and his genius face are his charm. He likes to play games. TREASURE is synonymous for him with “life”.
JUNGHWAN: Korean, 15 years old at international age. In the group, he is a dancer and the maknae (the youngest). He learns a lot from the other members who take care of him. His nickname is “Super King Cow Baby” (in reference to his signature emoji which is the cow; each member has his own signature emoji). He grows up fast and thinks he looks like a balloon because it’s something bright like him. The hashtags he chooses to define himself as his #YouthPlus, #Pousse, #Pupil. He has a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo. He loves to play games, watch movies, but eating sweet things is his favorite thing. For him, TREASURE is a respirator without which he could not breathe.

The following reveals the profiles of ASAHI, YEDAM and DOYOUNG:

ASAHI: Japanese, 19 in international age. AB blood group. He has an older sister and a younger sister. We nickname him Robot (it’s also his signature emoji). He is a vocalist. Making music is his passion, as well as drawing. He also likes artists and the Joker, but everything in general. For him, the other members are friends to whom he is linked through music, people who are precious to him.
YEDAM: Korean, 18 years old at international age. Blood group A. He’s a vocalist with a voice that stays with people. He has an adult personality in a child’s body. Only son, he has his parents and his grandmother. His nicknames are Dami, Look at me Nuna and God Yedam. He enjoys playing soccer, observing animals and taking pictures of flowers. “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” is his favorite movie. TREASURE members are precious brothers to him.
DOYOUNG: Japanese, 17 years old at international age. Blood group B. In addition to his parents, he has an older brother. In the group, he occupies the positions of dancer and vocalist. He is nicknamed Dosooni or Kim Dobby. He thinks he has the personality of an aurora because it is something beautiful and colorful. He enjoys playing basketball, soccer and skateboarding. TREASURE is his second family.

We continue with JUNKYU, MASHIHO and JAEHYUK:

JUNKYU: Korean, 20 years old at international age. In addition to his parents, he has an older brother and two pets, Ruby and Engdu. He is a vocalist and sets the mood in the group (he claims to be the only one to do so, contrary to what other members say). He loves listening to music and playing survival games. He has chosen the hashtags #sleep, #happyness, #wink to define himself.
MASHIHO: Japanese, 19 years old of international age. AB blood group. He has a bright and fun personality. If he was a character, he thinks he would be SpongeBob SquarePants. He enjoys basketball and doing acrobatics. He has several nicknames: Mamoming, Meshi, Shiho and Mashi. He occupies the positions of vocalist and dancer in the group. TREASURE is what gives it strength. To characterize him, he used the hashtags #Violet, #Kijoring (in reference to a cute and cult moment concerning him in the eleventh episode TREASURE MAP) and #Artist.
JAEHYUK: Korean, 19 years old at international age. Blood group O. He is a vocalist and dancer and represents purity in the group. According to him, the hashtags #DouxetGentil #AhAh (because he is always energetic) and # CaVa! characterize it. He loves to imagine good things while watching cooking videos. He imagines the happy faces of the other members after eating his dishes. He thinks he looks like a chow-chow (dog breed but also his nickname) who likes to be surrounded by humans. His entire face is the part of his body that he is most confident about. TREASURE is his second family.

Finally, we end with JEONGWOO, JIHOON and YOSHI:

JEONGWOO: Korean, 15 years old at international age. Blood group O. Since joining YG, he has grown by approximately 13 cm. He has the personality of a puppy because he is very curious and has a lot of interests. In the group, he is a vocalist and sets the mood by brightening up the group with pleasure. It is nicknamed Chocolate Jeongwoo and it is characterized with the hashtags #Energetic, #loveclothes and #loveformusic. TREASURE marks a turning point for him, a precious opportunity to learn and experience many things.
JIHOON: Korean, 20 years old at international age. Blood group B. If he had to present himself by a color, he would choose red because he is a passionate person. He has his parents and an older brother. We nickname him Park Jun (because if we say his name is quick, it is pronounced short) and Hoony. Her charm lies in her smiling eyes. He is the second leader (with HYUNSUK), vocalist and dancer. He enjoys longboarding, taking photos and walking while listening to music. TREASURE is his second family and his pride.
YOSHI: Japanese, 20 years old at international age. Blood group A. He has three older sisters and a puppy. Once he’s determined to do something, he makes sure to finish it. He is nicknamed the Destructor. He is a rapper and the members of the group are loving teammates to him. He loves to skate, write songs, play guitar, beatbox and draw.
