The announcement took place this evening, November 25th, BTS is nominated for the first time in the prestigious American ceremony that are the “GRAMMY“.
The members of BTS, the group of BIGHIT ENTERTAINMENT have never hidden their dream of one day being nominated for GRAMMY. SUGA, rapper, even slipped this will in “What do you thing” one of the music of his mixtape entitled “D-2″ released on May 25th, 2020 while the other members, RM, JIN, J-HOPE, JIMIN , V and JUNGKOOK have already shared this desire through interviews and lives. Tonight that dream has come true.
At 2 am, the announcements of the GRAMMY nominations took place live, an American ceremony during which the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences honors the best artists in the music industry each year, it is one of the most prestigious and important ceremonies in the life of an artist.
For this ceremony, BTS had submitted its candidacy in 7 categories in total, candidacy which was retained for the category “Best Pop Duo / Goup Performance”. The announcement of the winners will take place on January 31st, 2021 while the artists who will perform this year for the ceremony will be announced in several weeks.

BTS is also nominated for the Melon Music Awards which will take place from December 2nd to 5th as well as the Mnet Asian Music Awards which will take place on December 6th. They will perform their new single “Life goes on“.
