GUGUDAN
Girl group GUGUDAN has decided to disband after four years of activity.

On December 30th, Jellyfish Entertainment said:
“GUGUDAN, who has worked hard and received a lot of love since its debut, will end its official group activities after December 31st”.
The agency said, “We and the members of GUGUDAN have finally agreed to end the group’s activities after a long period of in-depth discussions. Although the group’s activities have ended, we will do our best to provide full support to their individual music and acting activities.”
“We thank you once again for the great support you have given us, and we sincerely apologize for this sudden news for the fans who love GUGUDAN,” it said.
GUGUDAN attracted attention even before its debut after the announcement of members’ membership in the I.O.I project group, SEJEONG and MINA.
The group debuted in June 2016 as a nine-member group and released three mini-albums and two singles, but failed to remain full and once suffered a member removal.
Instead of releasing a new album, after “Act.5 New Action“, released in November 2018, the group focused on the individual activities of the members.
SEJEONG has released two solo albums this year and is currently performing in the drama “The uncanny counter“. MINA appeared in “Hotel del luna” and focused on her acting career.
The other members also continued their activities by appearing in musicals, entertainment programs and appearing in soundtracks.
