SF9 CHANI: SF9’s multi-talented and savage maknae

The youngest member of his group, of course, but he is a young man who is both very talented and very teasing of his elders.

Chani alias Kang Chan Hee 강찬희 is the maknae (the youngest) but first of all one of the main dancer, rapper and face of the group of FNC Entertainment, SF9 composed of YOUNGBIN, INSEONG, JAEYOON, DAWON, ROWOON, ZUHO, TAEGYANG, HWIYOUNG and CHANI. The latter was born on January 17, 2000 in Daegu, he loves sleeping, playing the piano as well as the violin and also drawing. His two role models are Younghwan the leader of CNBLUE and Taemin maknae of SHINEE and soloist. CHANI is very close to several idols and especially Moonbin (ASTRO) and Chanwoo (IKON) who are both his childhood friends but also Hyunjin (STRAYKID) and Mina (GUGUDAN). He is known to be a ‘Evil Maknae’ of the worthy succession of Kyunhyun (SUJU), Changmin (TVXQ), Sehun (EXO), Hyuk (VIXX) and so many others. Indeed, the latter loves to tease his elders by throwing plastic bugs at them, to speak to them in familiar language, he loves to say that even if he is the youngest his elders act much more childish than him and so many others.

The first appearance of the young man of the SF9 was made while he was still a child since he toured in the MV of the TVXQ “Balloon” where he played the mini Yoochun next to Chanwoo (IKON) who played him the mini Changmin and Moonbin (ASTRO) which was the mini Yunho.

In addition, CHANI started his acting career very early and even after starting, on October 5, 2016, with SF9 just after the first survival of his agency ‘D.O.B (dance or band)’ he did not stop his career on the contrary. ‘Three Brother’ and ‘Queen Seon Deok’ in 2009, ‘Can you hear my heart’ and ‘Heaven garden’ in 2011, ‘The innocent man’ and ‘To the beautiful you’ in 2012, ‘The Queen’s classroom’ in 2013, ‘Splendid politics’ in 2015, ‘Signal’ in 2016, ‘SKY castle’ in 2018, ‘Once again’ and ‘True Beauty’ in 2020, where he had only guest and supporting roles. However, he made a great impression for his acting and his role in ‘SKY Castle’. He played in ‘Click your heart’ in 2016, ‘Love as you taste’ in 2019 as one of the main actors. In addition, the latter will also play in two future dramas to be broadcast next year where in ‘Will you leave’ he will play one of the main roles and will play a second role in ‘Imitation’.

Not only did the SF9‘s maknae play in dramas, but also in several films in which he played second roles such as ‘Familyhood’ (2016), ‘The King’s castle’ (2017) and ‘The first issue’ (2019). We will soon see him in two films where he will have two main roles, ‘White day’ which will be released on Korean screens on 31 December 2020 and in ‘Sseol’ which will be released in 2021. CHANI is with Rowoon two of the band members who have played the most in films and dramas.

In addition to acting, CHANI is known for his many talents within the band, whether in dance, rapping or singing. Indeed, the young man is with Taeyang the hand dancers with two completely different styles. Certainly SF9 are known for excelled in the dance but the two maknae take out their pins of the game if you can say. CHANI can be found solo or accompanied by one of its members on several videos showing their talent for dance whether at the 1Million (well-known dance studio in Korea) or on the official channel of the group.

The deep voice of the young man seduces many and numerous. Fantasy (the fans of the band) whether in rap or singing. With his almost angelic face one is always surprised to hear his very deep voice. Certainly the latter is better known for his rappes but he sometimes sings in some songs. He co-wrote the entire lyrics of ‘Why (왜 이래)’, ‘Poem 00:00″, “Scolding (부호령)“, “Different(달라)“, “Fall in love“ or “Dreamer“. He also gave the band’s fans a solo song composed by Zuho “Fatalism” which he sang live during the band’s concerts or a duo with the leader Youngbin “Divin“.
