Seoul Metropolitan Consumer Service is urging consumers to be cautious when ordering on the Weverse shop mobile app, following numerous customer feedback.
Weverse Shop is a mobile application that Big Hit Entertainment, which is the agency for BTS and TXT groups, has created for the exclusive sale of albums, idols and concert tickets of its artists.
Seoul Metropolitan Consumer Service said on February 3rd, “Based on customer inquiries, we plan to investigate the violation of related laws such as delayed delivery, denial of refund and lack of information on products.”
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Consumer Service, a total of 132 consumer damage claims were linked to Weverse Shop between May of last year and January 25th of this year.
The types of damage were 55 cases of defective products (41.7%), 45 cases of return and refund (34.1%) and 18 cases of late delivery (13.6%).
