DANIELLE
DANIELLE, former member of the girl group NEWJEANS, is expected to address fans about her recent withdrawal from the group and share information about her current situation during a live broadcast on social media via a new Instagram account

According to her legal representatives, DANIELLE will go live at 19:00 KST this Monday to speak directly to fans. The livestream will be broadcast simultaneously on YouTube and Instagram.
During the live session, DANIELLE plans to express her gratitude toward domestic and international fans who have continued to support her, share personal updates, and exchange greetings with fans in real time.
This livestream is intended “only as a space for direct communication with fans” and is not related to any ongoing legal proceedings, her legal team said.
During DANIELLE’s period within NEWJEANS, the members of the group used only the official Instagram account. After her departure, DANIELLE appears to have opened an independent channel to communicate with fans. The newly created account had drawn fans’ attention prior to the announcement, with them speculating from the following list that it belonged to the former member.
The situation follows a prolonged dispute between the members of NEWJEANS and their agency ADOR. After former CEO MIN HEE-JIN was ousted by HYBE, the members demanded her reinstatement. When that did not happen, they stated last November that their exclusive contracts had been terminated due to an alleged breach of contract by ADOR.
ADOR maintained that the contracts remained valid and filed a lawsuit in December to confirm their validity, along with a request for an injunction to prevent the members from pursuing independent activities. The court ruled in favor of ADOR both in the injunction case and at the first trial.
In response, the members of NEWJEANS, HAERIN and HYEIN, expressed last month their intention to return to the agency, followed by HANNI, MINJI, and DANIELLE who indicated the same.
However, ADOR then notified DANIELLE of the termination of her exclusive contract, effectively ending plans for a full group return. MINJI would continue discussions with the agency.
ADOR stated on December 29, 2025 that it had notified DANIELLE of the contract termination and that it would seek to hold legally responsible a family member of DANIELLE and of MINJI, whom it described as bearing significant responsibility in the dispute and the delays of the group’s return.
The agency stated that DANIELLE had entered into contracts that conflicted with her exclusive agreement, carried out unauthorized activities, or acted in ways that “damage the reputation and credibility of the company and NEWJEANS”, and that the contract was terminated after these issues were not corrected within the allotted time.
ADOR also filed lawsuits seeking penalties and damages against DANIELLE and two other individuals, with the total amount claimed estimated at approximately 43.1 billion won (29.5 million dollars). DANIELLE has since appointed her own legal counsel and is preparing to contest these claims.
