KARD: “HOLD ON”, KARD was back in Paris

The Folies Bergère Theatre “Back to life” with KARD and French HIDDEN KARDs

On the occasion of the release of its latest album, “WHERE TO NOW? (PART.2): NOWHERE”, KARD reunited with its fans at the Folies Bergère theatre on September 12. J.SEPH, BM, SOMIN and JIWOO were welcomed by particularly energetic HIDDEN KARDs (fandom name), who came to sing, dance and celebrate ten years of their career with them.

From the very first notes of “Oh nana”, the mood was set. Fans sang and danced alongside the group in an already electric atmosphere, which continued with “Don’t recall” and “Rumor”.

“I can’t tell you how happy we are to be here”, BM said, before adding that the group had also missed the Parisian audience dearly. His statement immediately set the tone for an evening centered around the close connection between the artists and their fans.

“Hola hola”, “Dímelo”, “Hold on”, “Red moon” and “You in me” then took us on a journey through the different periods of their career. The performance of “Hola hola” particularly stood out to us because of the fans’ thoughtful gesture: they turned on the flashlights on their phones, creating a sea of lights and offering KARD a heartfelt gift that deeply moved the members.

But the members had also prepared a surprise for their fans with solo performances, giving each of them the opportunity to showcase their own musical universe. J.SEPH delivered a charismatic performance of “Bottoms up”, SOMIN offered a sensual performance with “Backseat”, JIWOO created a memorable moment with “Home sweet home”, while BM closed the solo performances with the popular “Nectar” before reuniting with the other members for their final song, “Signal”.

The group continued with the moving “Armor” and “At least”, before raising the energy with “Icky”, “Cake” and “Back to life”, bringing the Parisian evening to a beautiful close and ending the night in perfect communion with the audience.

But KARD, just like its fans, are not ready to say goodbye. The audience sings the famous French chants of encouragement and stomps their feet, cheered on by the members. The group returns for the encore with “Signal” and “Dumb litty”, which sets the venue on fire, before thanking its fans for their unwavering support throughout these ten years and performing “Back to life” one last time.

“As you know, our contract is coming to an end, and when the internet found out, it was crazy. For those of you who have been fans for a long time, I know it must have hurt, but I want to reassure you and tell you not to worry. We are not KARD because of a contract. Because KARD is the four of us. I hope you won’t worry too much and that you will continue to support us. Paris, thank you for these ten years.” In French: “Je t’aime (I love you)” – BM

“Thank you, thanks to you, I had an amazing evening. I feel like every time I come to Paris, I make wonderful memories. Thank you for coming in such large numbers and for being so warm at every concert. I think I’ve already said this, but Paris really is the city of my dreams. I feel like I’ve accomplished something even greater: I wanted to ride a bike in Paris, but now I’m on stage. It’s thanks to you. I know I can always do better, but thank you for these ten years of love. “I told you that I never worry when I’m in Paris, but I don’t know how you did it. You gave me more love and encouragement than I ever expected. I realize today that I became an artist so that I could receive this much love from my fans. If you weren’t here, we wouldn’t have been able to be here after ten years. Thank you for your motivation. To conclude, what we will remember from this concert is the energy and good spirits of the KARD members. J.SEPH, BM, SOMIN and JIWOO delivered a stunning performance in Paris and gave the HIDDEN KARDs one final, unique gift after ten years of support. The fans, too, showed incredible energy, giving the concert the atmosphere of a long-awaited reunion with the members.
