KIM WOOSEOK
On Monday, February 8th, KIM WOOSEOK, a member of the group UPT10TION and former contestant of Produce X 101, is making his solo comeback today with his second album 2ND DESIRE [TASTY].

Formerly known as WOOSHIN, the young artist unveils his second album during a showcase on Youtube. This album tackles the theme of love and excitement, only nine months since the release of his first album. It comes in two versions: COOKIE and CREAM to show two facets of the singer, sweet and cute for the first, charismatic and sexy for the second. Moreover, the feelings expressed in both versions are depicted from a different point of view, since the COOKIE version focuses on the feelings felt when one falls in love, and the CREAM version those felt when in love. Although the title track of this album is “Sugar“, the young man recommends “Better” which, according to him, represents him the most.
“I wanted to show a completely different side with this second album because I want to experiment several styles.” – WOOSEOK
WOOSEOK presents the six different songs on the album, highlighting the fact that he composed five songs to show off his abilities other than vocals. In addition, he has tried various musical genres, such as pop, R-B or acoustic. He then describes in more detail the title song “Sugar” which talks about the feelings he feels, before presenting it for the first time on stage. The choreography reflects the title: soft, bubbly, energetic, and relies heavily on hand gestures, which WOOSEOK has described in more detail as the highlight of the dance.
After this performance, the young singer answers questions directly from journalists. He talks about his hair color, pink, which he chose at the request of the fans. At first he was worried about having such a color, but after seeing the result, he was satisfied. In addition, he has stickers on his nails, as an alternative to varnish. He expresses that he has achieved the things he wanted to do for a while with this comeback, both in the style of the songs and in the visual concept.
“I think I’ve improved a lot during the preparation of this album, I hope you’ll like it.” – WOOSEOK
While having fun, he feels he has learned a lot about himself and his abilities since his solo debut last year. He says he didn’t have a particular problem writing the lyrics for the different songs, because he was just transcribing his thoughts and ideas on paper. Regarding the clip for “Sugar“, this one is very colorful, like the young man, found in a candy factory. Among the questions received, some came from foreign journalists, which delighted the young man, who was surprised at the scope of his solo work. He says he was inspired by the fans to write the lyrics of the various titles and does not think he encountered any difficulties in adopting this method. Regarding his other projects, he is ready to test various genres, and continue to develop his abilities (such as musicals or acting). Again, he hopes to have varied roles, to counteract his soft appearance.

This album is composed of the following six tracks:
- “Tasty” : Intro song of this album, it is with the help of a hip-hop genre that the singer is in an exciting and romantic atmosphere.
- “Sugar” : A title track to highlight his delicate voice, accompanied by a piano to bring a jazzy atmosphere. The singer compares love to food.
- “Better” : This song combines the voice of WOOSEOK with a bagpipe to portray an optimistic atmosphere, using choir.
- “Holiday” : An optimistic title on Latin tunes, it gives courage to those who are confined all over the world because of the pandemic.
- “What are you doing next” : The artist called on Lee Minhyuk for this acoustic song which seems to be like a love statement on the part of WOOSEOK to make it attractive.
- “Next” : Title with an unique style compared to the others of the album, it allows to show a new facet of the artist, which expresses his human desires, thus allowing to introduce the coming of a next album, a “third desire”.
WOOSEOK summarizes this album with the word “Tasty” and finally closed this showcase by asking the public to be careful with the Covid, and to pay attention to its comeback and its previous productions.
