APINK: A very happy birthday to JUNG EUNJI
JUNG EUNJI, singer and vocal leader of girl group APINK, real name JUNG HYERIM, born August 18th, 1993 in Haeundae, Busan, South Korea, turns 28 today.
JUNG EUNJI also made her acting debut in the drama “Reply 1997” in 2012. She has since starred in “That Winter, the wind blows” (2013), “Trot lovers” (2014), “Sassy gogo” ( 2015) and “Untouchable” (2017).
In March 2011, JUNG EUNJI was revealed to be the fourth member of APINK via an online video of her covering “Love you I do” by Jennifer Hudson. JUNG EUNJI joined the rest of the group to film a reality TV show “APINK News” ahead of their debut. On April 21st, 2011, she made her APINK lead vocalist debut at Mnet’s M Countdown with two songs, “Mollayo” and “Wishlist“, from APINK’s debut album “SEVEN SPRINGS“.
JUNG EUNJI has collaborated with various artists for soundtracks and promotional songs. For the project “A Cube for Season #Green”, JUNG EUNJI collaborated with Yang Yoseob (BEAST) and sang “Lovely day“. In August 2012, JUNG EUNJI recorded two soundtracks, “All for you” and “Our love like this” with actor, singer Seo In Guk from the drama “Reply 1997“. “All for you” became one of the best-selling singles of the year on the Gaon Single Chart in 2012. In 2013 and 2014, JUNG EUNJI collaborated with Huh Gak, singer of the same agency, for duets called “Short hair” and “Break up to make up“, which have been ranked at the top of the major online music charts in Korea. She released her first solo single called “Its you” for the soundtrack of the drama “Three days“.
On April 18th, 2016, JUNG EUNJI made her debut as a solo artist with her debut mini album “DREAM“, which consisted of 6 songs. The title song was “Hopefully sky” and written by herself, dedicated to her father. “Hopefully sky” topped the charts in eight music charts, selling 30,000 copies when released. In April 2017, EUNJI released her second mini album “THE SPACE“. The title track, “The spring” and its music video were released on April 10th, and it has made several charts. From June 3rd to 5, 2017, JUNG EUNJI held her first concert “Hyehwa”. On October 18th, 2018, JUNG EUNJI released her third mini album “HYEHWA” and on July 15th, 2020 her fourth mini album “SIMPLE“
JUNG EUNJI also opened her youtube channel “정은지 EUNJI” where she often posts covers. She also became a KBS radio DJ.
JUNG EUNJI is very open by nature and very appreciated by others, she listens to others. Her ideal type is a masculine, kind person with a beautiful smile, but the main thing is that the person loves her.
