Singer and actress LIZZY, a former member of girl group AFTER SCHOOL, who was caught drunk while driving, has been sentenced to one year in prison.
On September 27th, the prosecution sentenced LIZZY to one year in prison on the first date of the lawsuit for violation of the law by the Seoul Central District Court.
In her final statement, LIZZY admits her fault and promises not to do anything disgusting anymore, saying:
“I generally think badly about drunk driving and reported it, but I committed a crime with poor judgment. I will no longer disappoint anyone. I’m scared of myself, but it’s scarier to come here for a trial.”
LIZZY was arrested on May 18 for hitting a taxi near the south intersection of Yeongdongdaegyo Bridge in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. At that time, LIZZY’s blood alcohol level was over 0.08%, which was at the level of the cancellation of his license, according to the investigation.
