Eleven members from THE BOYZ will be back with a “Battle Royale” atmosphere in this new single album.
THE BOYZ‘s agency unveiled a few days ago new photos to introduce the MOOD version of new single album “MAVERICK”. In these black and white photos, the eleven members of the group are accompanied by mysterious sentences that further specify the dark theme of this comeback and show each of the members in close-up, putting on sad or determined face.
The members have already distinguished themselves in various concepts comeback after comeback. However, it is the first time that the group tries a theme as dark as what “MAVERICK” promises us. Indeed, several details remind us of the famous manga and movie “Battle Royale” in which young people must eliminate the others in order to win a deadly game. Note that this is the first time that the group makes a comeback in which each member will have to play a role in a movie-like MV.
In the video below, that we can compare to an action movie trailer, the members are all shown one by one, after the appearance of a mysterious sentence “THE ONLY RULE IS TO BREAK THE RULES”. The eleven members can first be seen in a car, blindfolded, then in the middle of a huge building that looks like an arena where participants observe, use weapons, spy and fight each other, and having wounds or showing tears of despair. This short trailer makes people more and more excited to discover what is behind this comeback and to watch “MAVERICK”‘s MV.
New single album by THE BOYZ “MAVERICK” will be out on November 1st, making the group come back with a dark theme.
