WANNA ONE: Could a comeback be possible?

Discussions are underway on the possibility of bringing together the “WANNA ONE” project group, which was loved by the public for a short period of activity.

CJ ENM said on November 3rd,

“We positively discuss various projects (for) such as Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), concerts and albums with all members.”

WANNA ONE, formed as part of Mnet’s “Produce 101” Season 2 audition program in 2017, has garnered explosive attention since its debut and has grown into one of the most representative K-pop groups.

Rarely for rookies groups, sales of two albums had exceeded one million, and a total of 20 world tours were held in 14 cities, including the United States and Asia.

The official activities ended in January 2019, about a year and a half later, but all the members such as KANG DANIEL, HA SUNG WOON, HWANG MIN HYUN, ONG SEONG WOO and PARK JIHOON (…) are active in the entertainment industry through solo or group activities.

CJ ENM would chat with each agency in different ways as fans have called for reunification. If WANNA ONE reunites, it will be the first time in about three years, since the January 2019 concert.

Meanwhile, producer Ahn Joon Young, who has been sentenced to jail for manipulating viewers’ pay SMS voting results in the “Produce 101” series live competition, will be released from prison after having served his sentence on November 4th.

What if WANNA ONE was back, would you like it?
