Saturday April 17th, JACKSON WANG set the stage on fire at Coachella with 88rising line-up.
The annual festival Coachella has started! Back in the US, JACKSON WANG performed on the main stage of the festival on April 17th as a part of 88rising artist line-up.
For this first weekend that started on April 16th, many international artists were invited to perform there: Harry Styles, Giveon, Stromae, Swedish House Mafia, The Weeknd… Thist first week was also the opportunity for many Asian names such as EPIK HIGH, Joji, NIKI and artists from 88rising to perform in front of an international audience, online and offline. In particular, 88rising filled Coachella’s main stage for 1 hour and 20 minutes on Saturday, leaving 8 artists show their live performance including JACKSON WANG who sung “100 ways” and “Blow“, two well-known songs from his discography and “Cruel“, one of his unreleased track.
This stage collaboration isn’t surprising: in the past, JACKSON has taken part in many collaborations with 88rising singers: “Titanic” with Rich Brian, “I love you 3000 II” with Stephanie Poetri, “Walking” with Swae Lee & Major Lazer and “Tequila sunrise” with August 08 and Goldlink.
JACKSON‘s performance at Coachella marks an important step in his life career as the year following his return to China in early 2021 wasn’t an easy one for him. During the promotions of the release of his latest single “Blow” (read here), he confided he felt lost and lonely. Yet, he managed to pull himself together and to clear his goals as he promised on Instagram for bigger following his performance at the festival.
