Singer and actor RAIN (Jung Ji Hoon, 40) has been confirmed as the MC of cable music channel Mnet’s “Be Mbitious” show, CJ ENM announced on April 26.
“Be Mbitious” is the prequel to Mnet’s “Street Man Fighter (Smanpa),” a male dance battle slated for release this summer. It is a program that will outline the process of forming a dance crew of the “MBITIOUS” project, which will be named in the “Smanpa” program.
K-pop idols, choreographers, teachers and solo dancers will be there to try their luck at joining the final crew. Among all the applicants, the group will be chosen by the public to form MBITIOUS.
RAIN has also captured attention in the music scene with his signature dance performances, with hit songs that include popular choreographies such as “Bad man“, “How to avoid the sun” and “Rainism”.
Many contestants said they started dancing while watching RAIN’s performances. The dancers’ idol was named the program’s representative MC.
RAIN said:
“I am happy and proud to be with “Be Mbitious”, which will be the beginning of “Smanpa”. I sincerely hope that this year will be another year of dancers.”
“Be Mbitious” premieres on May 24.
