XG: A Final European Concert Worthy of a “Shooting Star”

XG “Hypnotize” European ALPHAZ in Paris for a night to remember.

Following its first sold-out concert at the Zénith de la Villette on November 24, 2024, as part of its “XG 1st WORLD TOUR ‘THE FIRST HOWL’“, XG, short for Xtraordinary Genes and composed of JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA, returned to the French capital on September 5 as part of its “XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE“. Invited by AEG France, KSTATION TV had the opportunity to attend this electrifying night.

The concert opens with the arrival of XG’s spaceship, accompanied by a remix of John Williams’ iconic score from “E.T.” and the track “Xignal“, announcing the beginning of a memorable journey. The stage, already ablaze, welcomes the members, dressed in their spacesuits, for “Gala“, before moving on to “Something ain’t right“.

From the very first minutes, XG establishes its universe. “Mascara” and “Tgif” quickly have the ALPHAZ (fandom name) singing along in unison, making the Adidas Arena shake. Vocals, dancing, and charisma are all on display, and the group immediately captivates the Parisian crowd. The energy never drops, and HARVEY is quick to remind everyone: “It’s just the beginning“.

And that quickly proves to be true with “Woke up“, which calls on the already-hyped ALPHAZ pack to let loose even further. This build-up reaches its peak with the remix of “Grl gvng” and “Howling“. The two tracks become one during a particularly striking performance, accompanied by the howls of the ALPHAZ that reverberate throughout the arena.

A performance that contrasts with “In the rain“, which allows the members to reveal another side of their artistic identity, more delicate and emotional, further enhanced by choreography inspired by Broadway Jazz.

“It’s been two years since we were last in Paris. We’re so happy to be here in Paris.” In French: “I love Paris, I love you (J’adore Paris, je t’aime).” – MAYA

This diversity is also reflected in “Ps18“, where JURIN, HARVEY, MAYA, and COCONA showcase their rapping skills, while CHISA, HINATA, and JURIA take their turn commanding the stage with their vocal in “4 seasons“. These two performances highlight the strengths and individual personalities of each member before they come together once again.

Then, following a short break with the fans, JURIA introduces the next song, telling “ALPHAZ, you took my breath away“. This statement introduces a more romantic, yet still energetic side of the group with “Take my breath“, followed by “Iykyk” and “Rock the boat“.

“O.R.B (obviously reads bro)” then sets the arena on fire, fueled by the members’ joy at sharing this evening with their fans in Paris. One of the fans was even given a tour T-shirt by CHISA during the performance, creating a unique moment of connection.

As the concert progresses, XG showcases the different facets of its universe. Performances alternate with more personal moments, while the staging maintains a strong sense of continuity between each segment. Every camera shot and lighting cue, as well as each transition, is carefully crafted, creating the impression of watching one continuous show rather than a succession of individual performances.

As the members pour all their energy into the final act, delivering standout performances such as “Hypnotize” and “Tippy toes“, XG is not yet ready to take its final bow. Called back by the howls of their pack, the members return to the stage to perform “Shooting star” and “Million places“, before revealing one final surprise for the ALPHAZ.

The group then heads directly into the crowd for “New dance” turning the Adidas Arena into a huge celebration shared by XG and the ALPHAZ. The distance between the stage and the audience completely disappears. After this moment of connection, they return to the stage one final time for “Left right” and thanks their fans together in French: “Goodbye. thank you so much I love you. (Au revoir. Merci beaucoup, je t’aime)“.

To conclude, what we will remember most is the members’ tireless energy. The group delivered performance after performance with very few breaks and without showing the slightest sign of fatigue for nearly two hours. The energy from ALPHAZ was equally present, creating a unique atmosphere for XG’s return to Paris. Finally, the attention to every aspect of the staging stood out, immersing us throughout the evening in XG’s unique universe. After seeing them perform, you’ll have only one thing on your mind: joining the ALPHAZ pack!
