ALEXA visited the official residence at the invitation of the United States Embassy in South Korea to talk about the vision of K-pop.
On June 30, ALEXA visited, by invitation, the residence of the United States Embassy in South Korea and spent a meaningful moment with the United States Ambassador to Korea, Christopher Del Corso, speaking K-pop and other topics while having a nice chat.
The meeting is part of ALEXA’s victory in the “American Song Contest (ASC)“, a large-scale American competition program. In particular, ALEXA, who suffered a broken trophy when presenting it on Victory Day to the “ASC”, received a new trophy reproduced by the “ASC” and presented to the American Ambassador in Korea Christopher Del Corso. ALEXA hugged the new trophy again with a big smile.
ALEXA, who visited her official residence, shared the moments of her experiences at “ASC” in a friendly atmosphere with Christopher Del Corso, the US Ambassador to Korea. In addition, they discussed ways to promote the voices of Korea and the United States for artists and the media in the field of performing arts and sought ways to exchange them through dialogue on Development.
As she was invited to the Embassy as a VIP, ALEXA had time to share and communicate her experiences at “ASC” with the US Embassy staff in a hospitable manner. In particular, the ASC’s winning song, “Wonderland” was granted a TikTok Challenge at the U.S. Embassy in Korea, adding expectations for her future performance as a “representative star of K-pop.”
“It was a dream to win the ASC, and I’m honored to be invited to such a meaningful event. I was a little upset that the trophy broke during the handover process, but it was even more meaningful to receive it. I was happy to have various conversations in a meaningful place connecting Korea and the United States. We will do our best to promote exchanges between K-pop and the American cultural industry.“
ALEXA will hold a “Welcome to Wonderland” mini concert at Spacebrick in Hongdae on July 2 to meet fans.
