HIMCHAN
HIMCHAN (real name Kim Himchan) of B.A.P. was tried for sexual harassment. In this second trial, he was sentenced to prison and arrested in court.

On February 9, the Seoul Central District Court sentenced HIMCHAN to 10 months in prison and ordered him to undergo a 40-hour sexual violence treatment program. The court said:
“Given the pain the victim must have felt in this case and the victim’s request for a severe sentence, a prison sentence is inevitable.”
However, unlike the first trial, the court held HIMCHAN in front of this one because it feared that he was on the run.

Earlier on July 24, 2018, HIMCHAN was charged with forcibly assaulting a woman in her twenties at a boarding house in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. At that time, police were dispatched to the scene due to “A’s” report, and HIMCHAN, who was under police investigation, was charged without detention in April 2019.
During the trial, HIMCHAN denied the charges, saying, “It was clear that the two had good feelings and implied consent, and it wasn’t forced harassment.”
HIMCHAN is also accused of forcibly assaulting two women on the stairs outside a bar in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on April 17 last year. HIMCHAN explained the charges by saying, “I only touched this person’s body as an ‘escort’ on the outside stairs, but there was no sexual intent.“
