HANTEO MUSIC AWARDS: First day of ceremony for the nominated artists

The Hanteo Music Awards taking place in Seoul this Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11 invited KSTATION TV to approach the artists present on both days both on the red carpet and at the ceremony, which we are happy to share with you.

For this first day, the guest list includes: BLANK2Y, TAN, JUNG DONGWON, CIX, EPEX, LUCY, BLITZERS, HONG JINYOUNG, STAYC, SEAN, BILLLIE, JUST B, KONG MINZY, WE DEM BOYZ, TRI.BE, VERIVERY, KIM HYUNGJUN, SEO INYOUNG, YUJU, SON JUNHO, KIM SOHYUN, WEI, JINSUNG, KIM KYUNGROK, YOUNHA, EUGENE and KANG DANIEL, as well as the group EVERGLOW which does not participate in the red carpet.

Then, at 7 p.m., the ceremony which celebrates its thirtieth anniversary begins, under the cries of the fans present in the stadium. What particularly catches the eye, glancing at the occupied seats, is the impressive number of fans of KIM HOJOONG, who also did not make an appearance on the red carpet. It is not complicated to recognize his fans since a very large majority are as middle-aged and elderly women, all dressed in purple. The artist’s lighstick is just as special since within it, we can see a hand. Some even brandish banners to pay homage to the artist.

But it’s time to turn your attention back to the stage since the evening begins with the group TAN who perform “ Anyhow song ” which was originally performed by SEOTAIJI AND BOYS, before giving way to BLANKY2 who covers “ Twist king ” by TURBO. This ceremony also aims to remember strong titles from the last three decades, explaining why throughout the evening the artists present will perform covers in addition to singing their own titles. Thus, “ Anyhow Song ” is from 1993 and “ Twist King ” from 1996.

We continue with “I’m your girl ” (1997) by S.E.S performed by TRI.BE, before BLANKY2 takes place again to sing “ Heartbeat ” by 2PM (2009). This intro rich in memories then gives way to the three MCs of the evening: EUNGENE, HYUNSUK from CIX, and BAEKSEUNG from EPEX. All three introduce themselves and the ceremony, not forgetting to thank the sponsors of the evening, then it’s time to start handing out awards:

The show continues and it is rock notes that fill the room thanks to the group LUCY which has just received an award. The artists perform “Play“, the accompanying violin setting the tone. Although the violinist does not sing, he is highlighted in his own way since he is the only one wearing white, as if to draw attention to himself. It’s YOUNHA‘s turn to go on stage and sing “Event Horizon” via a pre-recorded performance. Indeed, the singer is not really on stage, but her performance is broadcast on the screens of the stadium.

After this all-important award, BILLLIE is the next group to offer a performance with “Ring ma bell“, preceded by a dramatic dance intro. This is followed by “ Spray ” by WEI. STAYC is the next to appear on stage, after a short commercial, to sing “ Beautiful monster ” which is also preceded by a dance intro. The singers continue with “ Poppy “, their first Japanese title which is for the very first time performed in Korea. Then, another announcement of prizes awarded:

JUST B leaves the stage only briefly, as it is the group’s turn to perform “Damage“. Then, BLITZERS perform “ Hit the bass “. The audience shouts more when the boys of the group BLANK2Y take their places for “ FUEGO“, which is then replaced by EVERGLOW, the six singers present singing “ Dun Dun“, which before being finished changes to “ Pirate“. Then, the MCs return to continue the distribution of the awards:

It’s TRI.BE‘s turn to shine on stage, the young women performing “Kiss“, before giving way to TAN and her title “Du du du”, followed by “Louder“, which seems to trigger strong enthusiasm in the public.
