This February 28, 2023, ROCKY member of the group ASTRO since 2015 has decided not to renew his contract with the agency and the group.
Real heartbreak for the Ahora (name of the fanclub of the group ASTRO), the agency has shared an official statement sharing the decision of ROCKY not to renew the contract with the agency and with the group. Here’s what they wrote:
“Hi, this is Fantagio.
First of all, we would like to thank the fans who love and support ASTRO.
After having a series of long conversations with Rocky, who has been a part of ASTRO for seven years, it has been decided that Rocky will end his activities as a member of ASTRO and conclude his contract with fantagio.
We would like to express our gratitude to Rocky for doing his best as an ASTRO member all this time and we will continue to support him in the future.
Thank you to the fans who have supported and looked out for Rocky. Please continue to show your continued interest and support for Rocky as he makes a fresh start.
In the future, ASTRO will continue as a five-member group and members will focus on solo and unit activities. We will support them to be active in various areas of the industry.

The idol also shared some words to the Ahora, announcing his retirement in his own words.
“Hello, this is Rocky.

I will be leaving Fantagio, with whom I have been with for 14 years and will be ending my activities with ASTRO. The time of promotion as Rocky of ASTRO has been very valuable to me.

Because of your overwhelming love and encouragement, I have been able to grow and learn a lot.

For now, the four members of the group (to include Cha Eunwoo, Moon Bin, Jin Jin and Yoon San Ha) have renewed their contracts. MJ being unable to do so because he is currently performing his military service.
