ONG SEONG WU: A departure for the army next month

ONG SEONG WU (28), a former member of the boy group WANNA ONE, will serve in the army on active duty.

According to his agency Fantagio, on March 16, ONG SEONG WU will fulfill his defense obligations as an active soldier in the army after receiving basic military training at the training center on April 17.

Fantagio said, “We won’t be holding a separate official event, so please understand,” adding, “Please refrain from visiting the site to minimize congestion on enlistment day.”

ONG SEONG WU debuted as a member of WANNA ONE, which formed in 2017 with Season 2 of Mnet’s “Produce 101.” Since then, he has worked as a solo singer and acted as an actor at the same time. He appeared in the movies “Life is beautiful” and the drama “At eighteen“, the drama “Strong Woman Gangnam Soon” by JTBC and the movies “Cattle run” and “Starlight falls“.
