YOUNITE - Performance
BRAND NEW MUSIC‘s YOUNITE group is performing a showcase on Wednesday May 17 to present its fourth album; “BIT PART.1“.

Composed of members EUNSANG, WOONO, STEVE, KYUNGMUN, HYUNGSEOK, EUNHO, HYUNSEUNG, SION, and DEY, the group represents the fusion between the terms “You” and “Unite”, in order to symbolize the connection between members and fans. Carried by the title song “Waterfall”, YOUNITE therefore holds a showcase on Seoul, in a university, a showcase starting with a photo shoot, just after the broadcast of a video teaser introducing the nine boys. Without further ado, the band put on its first performance of “Waterfall,” all smiles. Subsequently, the associated clip is broadcast and then it is time to chat with the young boys.
A few months after their previous comeback, the members are happy to talk about this new album, conducive to the new summer season. They begin by describing this album as being a compendium of refreshing titles, which should undoubtedly please fans who have waited several months. To confirm these words, a presentation of the tracks is made, the album including the titles “Icy”, “Look at the TV“, Trip” and “Slogan” in addition to the title song. Over the songs, we feel the he musical imprint of the group, due to the sounds resembling each other. The album is also available in two versions, one with blue hues, one with rainbow hues.
“The song “Slogan” represents what we want to say to our fans” – DEY
What is striking about this album is the work of one of the youngest of the group, DEY, lyricist on every track of the album, alongside EUNSANG and EUNHO for the last song. They come back more on the title song, in order to present in more detail the choreography of the chorus, underlining in passing how hard they worked for this comeback, perhaps even more than for the previous album. The important thing is for them to have fun on stage, as HYUNSEUNG points out.
YOUNITE then takes the time to present some characteristics they have, to answer the question “which students were you?“, thus taking inspiration from the place where the group is doing their showcase. Some members respond that they loved dancing, others cooking, or adopting the figure of a protective big brother in the case of HYUNGSEOK for example. They are grateful to be able to stand on stage today not as students, but as singers, only a year after their debut.
“We hope to hear comments like “Ah YOUNITE is doing well, the songs are good” – EUNSANG
EUNHO revisits the song “Slogan” again, saying that when they all first listened to this lyric-less melody, they wished to attribute it to the fans. The title “Look at the TV” is also recommended by the group, for its relaxing atmosphere, and a little retro-Y2K which they wish to develop to make it their trademark. Regarding the choice of the title song, EUNHO continues his momentum, saying that in the beginning of the group they made a vote, but now they have an open discussion with the agency to choose it, a way for them to take part to the production of the album.
SION takes over, recalling that they have released four albums this year, with four different concepts, a way for them to further satisfy their fans, but claiming that they still have a lot to show. Moreover, even if this rhythm is very sustained for some, they are happy to be able to show the fruit of their hard work. DEY bounced off a question from a reporter regarding YOUNITE’s connection to celebrities in the agency like AB6IX, saying he gets a lot of compliments from them. Finally, regarding the Y2K concept, research was done to take inspiration from this fashion and style, and incorporate it into the album.

It is with these last words that the group ends its showcase, thanking the journalists who made the trip as well as those who will support this comeback.
