JUNSEO : The former BAE173 member has already terminated his contract

A representative from his agency, Orca Music, stated on October 22 to media outlet TV Daily that they terminated the exclusive contract with JUNSEO “out of respect for his own wishes”.

JUNSEO also explained in a letter addressed to fans the day before: “After careful consideration, I came to the conclusion that it was necessary for me today to redefine the direction of my life and prepare for my future, rather than pursuing new activities”.

Having started his activities at a young age, he looked back on his journey where training and the stage represented the entirety of his life. He then confided: “After running for so long without looking anywhere else, I felt the need to stop for a moment and probe my heart to know what kind of person I am and in what manner I wish to live in the future”.

Regarding his future plans, he shared: “I have decided not to continue within the new team, but I think I will meet the fans through the performances scheduled in Japan for the next year and 3 months”.

Previously, Orca Music had announced on September 4 the signing of exclusive contracts with MUJIN, JUNSEO, and YOUNGSEO, all three former members of BAE173. The agency had then indicated it was in discussions with the three of them regarding the direction of their future activities, announcing the reveal of a new group name and musical work. However, with JUNSEO having decided to terminate his contract and not participate in the new team, changes are also occurring in the activity plan bringing the trio together.

JUNSEO expressed several times his regrets and gratitude toward the fans who were waiting for him. He stated: “The very first reason why I was able to smile again, even in my difficult moments, has always been the presence of the fans who supported me by my side”, adding: “The time spent together and the affection you have shown me remain for me precious memories that I would not change for anything in the world”.

He added: “I bow and apologize once again for causing you pain with this sudden news”, concluding with: “I thank you from the bottom of my heart for having loved me until now and for having encouraged the dream of the person that I am”.

JUNSEO participated in 2016 in Mnet’s survival show “Boys24”, before being active as a member of BAE173. He also made himself known through shows such as “PEAK TIME” and “PROJECT 7”.
