On May 24th at midnight KST, ATEEZ released an extract of the song « This World » from its upcoming album « THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW » on its SNS.
In the past 48 hours, fans have been treated to concept photos and videos for WOOYOUNG and SAN‘s « Outlaw » and YUNHO and JONGHO’s « 최면 (Wake up) ». Today, it’s the turn of biker duo YEOSANG and SEONGHWA to unveil their concept photos for the song « This World ».
On May 23rd at 11 p.m. KST, a photo featuring YEOSANG and SEONGHWA was revealed. In this photo, they are wearing biker outfits previously seen in the first trailer and concept photos. The duo strikes a pose for the camera with a determined and rebellious attitude that captured the attention of ATINYs (fandom name). The poster, which looks like it could be for a movie, also announces the upcoming release of the song « This World » on May 24th.
The teaser video for « This World » was promptly released at midnight KST on May 24th, right after its announcement. The track uses electro and futuristic inspiration and incorporates lyrics from « Propaganda » – the opening track of « THE WORLD EP.1: MOVEMENT » album. Thus, this song seems to convey a message of liberation, a message strongly present in this next album.
Moreover, in the video, YEOSANG and SEONGHWA can be seen waiting for a package of green chillies, which refers to the title track « Bouncy (k-hot chilli peppers) ». After receiving the package, the duo appears to be anticipating something or someone, sparking curiosity among fans about the upcoming activities, particularly May 25 and 26 videos.
Finally, ATEEZ will return with a new album, « THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW », on June 16th.
