T.O.P
The singer and actor T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun), who left the group BIGBANG, mentioned the members of BIGBANG.

On September 12 (local time), the Japanese channel TV Asahi Channel 1 broadcast T.O.P‘s fan meeting in Japan. This fan meeting is an event that was held last July at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Japan.
During this broadcast, T.O.P granted an interview to TV Asahi and mentioned the news of BIGBANG‘s world tour.
After being asked about how he felt when he first heard about BIGBANG‘s world tour, T.O.P answered:
“From now on, I intend to pursue my activities as a solo artist. I cannot stand alongside the members on the same stage, but I will always continue to support and encourage their activities and their music.”
T.O.P then declared regarding his long period of inactivity: “While going through a dark period that I had never experienced before, this darkness instead made me grow. By making music during this period, I was able to feel the feeling of being alive again.”
Explaining that he had a time of healing by working on his solo music during his period of inactivity, he also added: “Each time, I felt like I could breathe. That is how I was able to pick myself back up.”
Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude toward the fans supporting him:
“Your support was the greatest driving force that allowed me to stand in front of the public again.”
Meanwhile, T.O.P was sentenced the following year by the court to 10 months in prison suspended for two years for smoking cannabis at his home in 2016. After leaving BIGBANG, he found himself at the center of several controversies, notably declaring his retirement, then made a successful comeback in the role of Thanos in “Squid Game 2” released in December 2024.
However, at the time of the release of “Squid Game 2”, T.O.P also drew a line under a return within BIGBANG during an interview with national media.
Embarking as a solo artist, T.O.P released his first solo studio album “ANOTHER DIMENSION” last April and is currently pursuing an Asian tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut.
