BTOB
A moment ago, CUBE ENTERTAINMENT announced that they had started the negociations for the renewal of the contract of the members or BTOB.
Since the end of August, the fans learned that the members of BTOB were in current negociations with their company, CUBE ENTERTAINMENT, regarding the renewal of their individual contracts.
Until yesterday, there were no update about this situation, which kind of means that the nagociations are tough. But today, on November 1st, the company finally decided to give an update, vague informations, regarding these contracts renewal.
They only announce that the renewal period isn’t over yet and that they’re still discussing. All seems to indicate that the contracts aren’t renewed yet, some of them or even all of them. CUBE ENTERTAINMENT seems to have decided to leave open possibilities to the members to make the negociations easier.
Currently, 5 contracts out of 6 have already expired. There are some rumors saying that the members are looking for another company.
BTOB debuted in 2012 with their song “Insane“,from their first album “BORN TO BEAT“. Originally composed by 7 members, the former member JUNG ILHOON left the group in 2020. Since their debuts, they went more and more popular, winning numerous prizes in weekly shows but also in more prestigious shows such as MNET ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS or ASIA ARTIST AWARDS. They’re currently nominated in 3 cagetories for the MNET ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS 2023.
What future can we expect if the members choose different companies? Will they still be able to be a group or will they focus on solo activities? Stay tuned.
