SEVENTEEN’s DINO reveals a new side never shown before with “WAIT”.
SEVENTEEN member DINO will release his debut solo mixtape “WAIT” at 6 p.m. KST today via popular US music sites such as iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music and via global music platform SoundCloud. “WAIT” is the first solo mixtape that DINO has been preparing for a long time, and it is also a song in which he participates in writing and composition and displays a broad spectrum and musical abilities.
“Wait,” which features DINO’s simple vocals, is based on a genre hybrid that properly mixes jazz and glitch. In addition, various sounds such as piano and electric synths infuse energy into the whole song, and the direct lyrics clearly reveal the theme. The atmosphere and message felt throughout the song will give you the momentum you need to escape your boring daily life.

Q. You’re finally releasing your first mixtape. Do you think it will be different, how do you feel?
DINO: I’m so happy to release a solo song that I’ve dreamed of since I was very young. The process of putting together the first mixtape was fun from one to ten. I feel like I’ve made another dream come true.
Q. What is the charm of the “WAIT” mixtape?
DINO: My own “honesty” is the important point. It’s a song full of subtle charms, where softness and hardness coexist.
Q. What’s the point of the “WAIT” mixtape?
DINO: I think my own tone of voice and my character are the points to appreciate. I have prepared a lot to show you a new side of me that I have never let show before.
Q. You said you would show a new side of yourself with “Wait”, what kind of charm did you want to show?
DINO: I wanted to show you both serious, confident sides and strong sides, not the usual bright and playful DINO.
Q. What was the most memorable episode while you were putting together the “WAIT” mixtape?
DINO: During the filming of the music video, the 12 members of SEVENTEEN came to support me. I felt so loved and I want to thank and love the members once again.
Q. If you could describe the “WAIT” mixtape in one word?
DINO: Another departure!
