PHOENIX, a member of the group EASTSHINE, is receiving great attention in the country.
Recently, EASTSHINE’s Thai member PHOENIX conducted an interview with Thai public broadcaster MCOT on the topic “How thai children follow their dreams and become idols“.
MCOT is Thailand’s leading terrestrial broadcaster and an influential broadcaster in the country, with a 29% stake in Channel 3, a broadcaster with a significant share in Thailand. He highlighted PHOENIX by continuing to ask various questions such as “How did he enter the K-pop industry” and “A message he wants to send to Thai fans with this new album.”
PHOENIX notably attracted attention by expressing its bold ambition, saying, “I ask you to continue to support EASTSHINE in the future,” adding, “If you send me warm love, I will not disappoint you.”
According to the Overseas Hallyu 2023 survey conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, 81.4% of Thai people with an experience rate of Korean cultural content listened to music, indicating a strong preference for K-pop. Interest in EASTSHINE is expected to gradually increase as he belongs to his own people, PHOENIX, and debuted as a K-pop idol.
In addition, TM Entertainment agency said: “Local media such as in Spain and the United States are also showing interest in EASTSHINE.” Therefore, special attention is paid to the type of activities that EASTSHINE will pursue in the future.
EASTSHINE is a group that aims to become “Brilliant” in the eastern country of Korea. It consists of seven members, including leader IEL, HYUN, DONGJAE, PHOENIX (Thai nationality), KARIS, YOUNGGWANG and LUMIN, and attracts attention as a talented group capable of writing, composing, arranging and to create choreographies.
