The new style of music from DINO from the group SEVENTEEN has gone around the world.
DINO’s first solo mixtape “WAIT”, which was released on popular American music sites such as iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music, as well as the global music platform SoundCloud, on November 27, topped the song charts iTunes in a total of 22 countries/regions, including Chile, Indonesia, Philippines, and Singapore, on November 29 at 9 a.m. KST.
“WAIT” is a song in which DINO takes the first step towards infinite expansion as an artist with a new musical style that he has never shown before. DINO participated in the writing and composition this time, expanding his broad musical spectrum and abilities as he pleased. As it is a song written and sung with sincerity, “Wait” not only gives you a glimpse of the “Artist” side of DINO, but also gives you a clearer idea of DINO’s sincerity than any another song.
“Wait,” which features DINO’s simple vocals, is based on a genre hybrid that properly mixes jazz and glitch. In addition, various sounds such as piano and electric synths infuse energy into the whole song, and the direct lyrics clearly reveal the theme. The atmosphere and message felt throughout the song provides an impetus to escape from boring everyday life.
DINO, who described his debut solo mixtape “WAIT” as “Another Start!” in a word, he looks forward to his future as an artist.
SEVENTEEN, which includes DINO, will continue its biggest Japanese dome tour “SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ TO JAPAN” since its debut. The tour will take place at Banterrin Dome Nagoya on December 2 and 3, Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 7, 9 and 10, and Fukuoka Paypay Dome on December 16 and 17.
