SEVENTEEN member S.COUPS has recently made a significant gesture for homeless animals. On December 1st, he quietly donated 50 million wons (around 35 thousand euros) to “천사들의 보금자리” (“The Nest of Angels”), a non-profit organization dedicated to animal protection. On December 11th, “천사들의 보금자리” (“The Nest of Angels”) expressed sincere gratitude, stating that thanks to S.COUPS‘ warm gesture, the animals will be able to spend a warmer and healthier winter.
“천사들의 보금자리” (“The Nest of Angels”) is a private shelter for abandoned dogs and cats, operated through donations and volunteer activities from individuals and organizations from various sectors of society. Initially established as a no-kill shelter, it currently houses over 200 dogs and cats. The organization is committed to improving awareness and protection of abandoned animals to create a society where pet industry, culture, and welfare converge.
The generous sum donated by S.COUPS will be used for medical care, surgery expenses, and other needs of the animals residing in the “천사들의 보금자리” (“The Nest of Angels”) shelter.
S.COUPS has consistently shown a special interest in animal welfare. Last September, he donated 30 million wons (around 21 thousand euros) to the animal rescue organization “WEACT” to aid dogs rescued from a breeding facility. He also named the rescued puppies from this facility. In February, he donated 20 million wons (around 14 thousand euros) to the national disaster relief association “Hope Bridge” to assist in overcoming the earthquake damages in Turkey and Syria. S.COUPS, a renowned dog lover, raises his famous canine companion “Kkuma” and has shared his love for animals on Korean television.
