On the morning of December 25, iKONICS (iKON fans) were in for a big surprise. A pre-recorded video of JAY, the eldest member of the group, who has been doing his military service since July this year.

It’s a touching gesture, and one that many people have responded to with a tweet from the group. A real surprise, JAY (real name KIM JINHWAN) is off to do his mandatory military service this July 20, 2023 for two years.
He had shared this announcement a few weeks before his departure, on July 6, on an Instagram post that you can find here.
Here’s all we need for a happy holiday season, while we wait patiently for his return and the chance to see the full group again one day.
