ATEEZ - HONGJOONG & SEONGHWA
Today, January 3, ATEEZ released the music video for “MATZ,” the sub-unit song of HONGJOONG and SEONGHWA.
After announcing at the end of December the publication of four video clips corresponding to the songs of the group’s sub-units, ATEEZ began the year by posting not only an epilogue video for the series THE WORLD but also by publishing the music video of the HONGJOONG and SEONGHWA song, “MATZ”.
Indeed, the epilogue posted on December 31 shows us a bluebird, present since “Halazia“, flying through the sets of the music video for “Crazy form” to the shot of a boat, that of ATEEZ, which is accompanied by a red prism reminiscent of the one present in the video clip for “Dreamer” and on the cover of the album THE WORLD EP.PARADIGM, released in November 2022. An epilogue which perfectly concludes this second saga and opens new questions about the next group’s adventures.
Later, the same day, ATINYs (fandom name) were able to discover a preview of the music video through a promotional photo. On the latter, the elders of the group pose sitting high up facing the camera. HONGJOONG wears a colorful jacket matching his cap while SEONGHWA‘s outfit is marked by white and black, numerous jewelry and the presence of a MATZ tattoo on his neck.
Therefore, today, fans were able to discover the music video for “MATZ”, a song with a hip-hop style and raw and catchy rap composed and written by the elders of the group. In the latter, HONGJOONG and SEONGHWA find themselves trapped by an enemy group, dressed in black capes, who observe the actions of the members of the group through televisions.
The latter manage to break away, causing their enemies to flee and find them in a CD store. The elders of the group will then destroy what the store contains, CDs chosen and authorized by the enemy group. The music video ends in a building under construction where a glass stage has been created, echoing not only concert halls but also legendary rap battles.
Finally, the music video “It’s you”, a song from the sub-unit of SAN, YEOSANG and WOOYOUNG, will be released on January 10, 2024.
