NCT WISH
NCT’s latest sub-unit, NCT Wish, will officially debut in February, the boy group’s agency SM Entertainment announced on Thursday.

The new sub-unit was formed through SM Entertainment‘s audition show “NCT Universe: Lastart“, which aired from July to September last year in Korea and Japan. The show aimed to form a Japan-localized sub-unit of NCT.
According to the agency, the members include SION, RIKU, YUSHI, JAEHEE, RYO and SAKUYA, who will develop the group’s career in Korea and Japan.
The group’s name comes from the slogan “Wish for Our Wish“, which embodies the aspiration to support everyone’s wishes and dreams through the group’s songs and love, SM Entertainment said in a press release.
“The group is determined to become a ‘Wish Icon,’ sending strong hope and energy to all music fans around the world,” the agency added.
NCT Wish started its activities under the name NCT New Team as part of its prior activities. It organized a pre-tour, performing in nine cities across Japan.
NCT debuted in 2016 under SM Entertainment, which has over 20 members. The group has six subunits under its umbrella: NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT U, NCT DoJaeJung and NCT Wish.
