HAN GENG, a Chinese actor and former member of the group SUPER JUNIOR, recalled his days in SM Entertainment.

On January 28, an interview video with HAN GENG was posted on the YouTube channel “Phoenix TV”.
HAN GENG debuted as a member of the group SUPER JUNIOR in 2005 and filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment in 2009 to invalidate his exclusive contract and continued his activities in China after withdrawing from the group.
HAN GENG, who cut his hair short, revealed how he spends time with his daughter.
He then spoke about his childhood when his family was in a bad situation. After graduating, he knocks on the door of SM Entertainment with his classmates and is lucky enough to be chosen.
At that time, he graduated at the age of 17 and signed a 13-year contract with SM Entertainment thanks to the Korean Wave. “I thought it was the only option I could do when I signed the contract,” HAN GENG said, adding that his father suffered at that time: “I sold my child.”
“There was no other way than to train desperately. The overall training system was very good. So it could be exhausting and miserable. It’s just that the management is strict.”
Although he received a lot of love after his debut as a member of SUPER JUNIOR, he did not receive a large amount of money when he first settled scores. He also claimed it was an unfair contract and an unreasonable distribution of income for 13 years. “I received a monthly allowance when I was an intern and had to return it to my company,” said HAN GENG.

He also said, “I feel like I got a taste of fame,” adding, “I didn’t look like myself anymore. I lost myself.“
HAN GENG, who returned to China and pursued her acting career, also expressed her passion for acting, saying, “I always wanted to be an actor” and “I put all my passion into the profession of actor”.
HAN GENG married Selina Jade in 2019 and held his daughter in his arms in 2022.
