LEE SUNG JONG, through his representatives, said on March 30, “A mandatory adjustment has been established in the recent application for a preliminary injunction against former agency SPK Entertainment (CEO Kim Seung Pil).” As a result, the exclusive contract between LEE SUNG JONG and SPK Entertainment ended on March 30 at midnight KST.
LEE SUNG JONG, who signed an exclusive contract with SPK Entertainment in August 2022, announced the termination of the exclusive contract on the grounds that he did not have the necessary support for his promotion, fan meetings, releases. albums, as well as the deposit. promised at the time of conclusion of the contract have not been respected.
In addition, LEE SUNG JONG also requests payment for the settlement of all his activities over the two years, including the solo single “THE ONE” and the European tour, INFINITE’s 7th mini album “Begin (13gin)” and the Asian tour “COMEBACK AGAIN“.
LEE SUNG JONG, who had attempted to conduct consultations on the matter for months, sent proof of the content through a law firm in December last year to demand a correction of the breach of the contract. However, with no response to this, he informed SPK Entertainment of the termination of the exclusivity contract and filed a lawsuit in court seeking payment of the settlement money as well as an injunction seeking suspension of the contract of exclusivity.
SPK Entertainment expressed its intention to terminate its exclusive contract with LEE SUNG JONG in the interim disposition case, and forced mediation was established as neither party raised objections to the court’s reconciliation recommendation.
LEE SUNG JONG‘s representative stated, “In addition to terminating the exclusivity contract, LEE SUNG JONG will continue to file a civil suit against SPK Entertainment for unpaid settlements thereafter.”
