TWS: On the cover of Japanese magazines

TWS, a “popular rookie”, continues to be popular through love appeals, including as a magazine cover model and an appearance on a local show before its official debut in Japan.

TWS (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyeongmin) appeared on the cover of Japanese magazines “non-no” and “Hallyu Pia” in the July issues. “Non-no” notably published a special edition of the issue, which was covered by TWS. The cover of the special edition magazine is mostly decorated with very popular local stars.

TWS dressed casually on the cover of both magazines, displaying a new youthfulness. The natural faces and visuals of the six members create a refreshing and sophisticated atmosphere like their music, exuding an energy that feels good just looking at them.

Through interviews conducted with the photo shoots, TWS shared its belief in music and its plans for future activities. In an interview with Non-no, they expressed their aspiration, saying: “We want to convey the colors of our music to many people. We want to appear on the Tokyo Dome stage one day.” In an interview with Hallyu Pia, the group expressed its desire to learn and gain experience through world tours.

Previously, TWS filmed the cover of a special edition of Japanese magazines (the March issue of “Ray” and the April issue of “ViVi”). Japanese media’s love appeal to TWS, which has yet to actually start operations, proves that its local popularity is unusual.

TWS currently appears as Munsley’s guest on ASAHI TV-M:ZINE (May 10, 17 and 24). In this late-night music show, organized three times for 20 minutes per episode, they stamp their “global trend” image by performing on stage with local MCs and actors for their first title song “첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아”.

TWS also appeared on music shows such as “NTV-with MUSIC” (April 27) and “NTV-Buzz Rhythm 02” (May 3), visited by many K-pop artists.
