TWS has released parts of the songs from its new album. Their unique refreshing energy and diverse musical genres are expected to be broadcast, raising expectations.
TWS (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyeongmin) posted a video for its second mini album “SUMMER BEAT!” highlight medley on Hybe Label’s YouTube channel on June 20 at midnight. This is a video in which a total of six musical colors are buried in different episodes, including the title song “내가 S면넌 나의 N이 되어줘“, the pre-released song “Hey! Hey!“, “너+나=7942”, “Double take”, “내가 태양이라면” and “Fire confetti”.
The most interesting song is “내가 S면 넌 나의 N이 되어줘“. The song has a hybrid pop genre with a funky beat and a lively synth sound. The refreshing and bright color of the song reminds us of their first song “첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아“, which was a syndrome type sensation. In the video, the members swimming or diving in the pool overlap with the bubbly notes, boosting fans’ excitement.
Not only the preview song “Hey! hey!” which has a strong rock-based sound with the refreshing feel of TWS, but other tracks are also enough to please listeners. In particular, the hip-hop genre song “Double take“, which has an impressive catchy bass line, is expected to be as popular as the title song. In addition to the minimalist and chic rhythm, another novelty of TWS is found through the variations of the part of the chorus with the boom bap.
“너+나=7942” has a fast arrangement with the Saw synth as the point over the drum sound of an energetic beat. Lyrics containing metaphors from school days such as “I can’t express it in my language area (take a look at me)” are interesting. Additionally, “내가 태양이라면“, which maximizes overwhelming sensitivity with acoustic guitar and warm-toned synth sound, and “Fire confetti“, which lifts the mood and gives pleasant tension, make us look forward to the wider music from TWS.
While maintaining the original genre of “boyhood pop” with refreshing lyrics and melodies, TWS added various musical colors such as “rock”, “boom bap” and “jersey club beat” to their new album. The upgraded version of TWS is expected to be seen in its summery sounds, lyrics, and energetic vocals from all six members.
TWS’ second mini-album, “SUMMER BEAT!” will be released at 6 p.m. KST on July 24. TWS plans to release music video teasers one after another on July 21 and 22, increasing the fever for its comeback.
