NAYEON of the group TWICE has ramped up anticipation around her solo comeback by presenting a unique and mysterious story through the introductory film of her new song.
NAYEON will embark on solo activities by releasing the single “NA-sty” and its title track “Baby angel” this coming November 20. Ahead of this, JYP ENTERTAINMENT unveiled an introductory film allowing a glimpse into the atmosphere of the new opus on the afternoon of November 5 via its official channels.
The video begins with a scene where feathers accumulate on a book titled “EVERYWHERE BUT NOWHERE”. Subsequently, NAYEON with blue hair, who had appeared in the previously unveiled visual film, makes her appearance and tells the story of a woman who suddenly appeared on digital screens around the world.
According to her explanation, this woman with an unknown identity suddenly appeared one day on all the screens in the world. While no one knows who made the woman appear on the screen or even where this phenomenon started, as strange events followed one another, people became more and more captivated by the woman on the screen. Subsequently, the video concludes as a suspicious rumor saying that it is a “prank played on the world by Baby Angel” spreads.
The unidentified existence and the mysterious setup surrounding it stimulate curiosity around the new song “Baby angel”. In particular, attention is focused on the concept and message that the new song will contain through the unfolding of a unique story.
This single “NA-sty” is the new solo work that NAYEON is presenting approximately 2 years and 5 months after the release of her 2nd mini-album “NA”. The name of the album contains the meaning of “Nayeon’s style” and “faithfully to myself”, while being completed by the association of the English word “nasty” which gives a mischievous and bold impression.
Previously, NAYEON revealed a fresh and sparkling charm with her solo debut song “Pop!”, and then a daring and bold facet with the title track “Abcd” from her 2nd mini-album. Expectations are growing as to the new color she will show in this new opus.
Meanwhile, NAYEON’s solo single “NA-sty” and the title track “Baby angel” will be officially released this coming November 20 at 2:00 PM.
This comeback, which adds a mysterious narrative to the existing bright and joyful image, is expected to become an opportunity to further expand NAYEON’s solo spectrum.
