KARA: The first photos of the comeback

KARA, the second generation idol legend, will make its comeback on July 24.

KARA (Gyuri, Seungyeon, Nicole, Jiyoung, and Youngji) posted an image on its official SNS on June 27 at midnight KST to announce the comeback with the digital single “I DO I DO.” KARA will make a full comeback approximately one year and eight months after the special 15th anniversary album “MOVE AGAIN“, released in November 2022.

In the photo posted that day, the KARA logo shines transparently in the shape of water. The logo is reminiscent of the blue delphinium, a flower that only blooms in summer. Just like the flower that says “I will make you happy“, it gives us hope for a dreamlike story that KARA will write side by side this summer.

KARA debuted in March 2007 and began its Japanese career in earnest in 2010. They were beloved both domestically and abroad, and particularly in Japan, leading the Korean K-pop wave. In 2012, the girls became the first Korean artists to perform at the Tokyo Dome, and all the tickets were sold out.

After making a comeback with a special 15th anniversary album in November 2022, KARA held fan meetings in Seoul and three Japanese cities last year, working with fans at home and abroad. Among them, the Japanese fan meeting was sold out immediately after ticket sales opened, thus proving its reputation as the “queen of hallyu”. Expectations are high for how KARA will continue to perform, returning after a year and eight months.

KARA will release its digital single “I DO I DO” on various music sites at 6 p.m. KST on July 24 and will hold “KARASIA” concerts in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan in August.
