CHUU: A final point in the trial, may she win!

CHUU, a former member of the group LOONA, won a lawsuit against her former agency to invalidate her exclusivity contract.

On June 27, the Third Chamber of the Supreme Court upheld the original lawsuit, which ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a civil suit filed by CHUU against her former agency Blockberry Creative.

Dismissal for non-resumption of hearing is a system that does not accept the appeal without hearing the main case unless there is a specific reason such as the illegality of the lower court’s judgment in the appeal excluding criminal cases.

CHUU filed a lawsuit over the exclusive contract against Blockberry Creative in December 2021. In March, the court ruled on the mediation committee and proposed a settlement, but the two parties failed to reach an agreement a deal.

The court partially cited CHUU’s request for an interim injunction in March 2022 as well as the main suit, and ruled in favor of the first and second trials of the main suit. Blockberry Creative has shown its willingness to continue the legal fight by appealing. However, CHUU also won the Supreme Court’s decision and concluded the trial.

CHUU currently works with ATRP under an exclusive contract. She recently released her second mini-album, “STRAWBERRY RUSH”.
