Group MIRAE disbanded three years after its debut.
DSP Media agency said on July 9: “The members of MIRAE, JUNHYUK, LIEN, DOHYUN, KHAEL, DONGPYO, SIYOUNG, and YUBIN have decided to end their group activities, after a long period of reflection and discussion.”
The members left a handwritten letter on their official social media and said goodbye to their fans. Leader JUNHYUK wrote, “I learned a lot during my activities as a member of MIRAE, thanks to NOWs (fandom name), and thank you for creating unforgettable moments together.”
DONGPYO will remain at DSP Media to pursue his personal activities. “Honestly, there were many times when I fell apart on my own, and many times when I was in danger. Even in those times, we were always together and learned to pick ourselves up by walking through the same direction. Now please watch out for MIRAE members who will have a dream and run hard.”
MIRAE debuted with the EP album “KILLA” in March 2021. It gained attention as the next famous idol group from DSP Media, which produced Sechskies, Fink.le, ClickB, SS501, Kara and April. It was the first group to launch it four years after the group KARD. Audition members including SON DONGPYO, LEE JUNHYUK of Mnet’s Produce X 101 and KHAEL and PARK SIYOUNG of MBC TV’s Under19.
Their latest domestic activity was their fifth mini album “BOYS WILL BE BOYS“, released in July last year.
