SEVENTEEN - MINGYU
Police have launched an investigation into “A,” an employee of L’occitane Korea, a cosmetics brand, who posted photos of SEVENTEEN member MINGYU at the location of a commercial shoot.

The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said in a response to Epeople newspaper on September 10, “We have confirmed the contents of the complaint and will forward the case to Investigation Department 1 and Investigation Team 2 to determine the direction of the case after further investigation,” adding, “We will inform the progress of the investigation via mail, phone, and text message.”
Previously, “A” had revealed photos from MINGYU’s photoshoot on her social media, saying, “MINGYU, who takes up a large part of the photo album. I couldn’t delete it because I was nervous, so should I do it now?” Controversy erupted because the post included a number of exposed photos, such as one of MINGYU taking off her top.
In response, L’occitane Korea apologized, saying, “We take this issue very seriously and sincerely bow to the artists and fans who were hurt by this incident,” adding, “We immediately completely suspended the employee from all duties, and measures have been implemented.”
Later, a netizen filed a complaint against “A” at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul for violating the Special Act on Punishment of Crimes of Sexual Violence (Use of Cameras and Others). The netizen said, “Since “A” expressed his/her feelings of ‘I couldn’t delete it because I was nervous’ by releasing ‘unofficial photos’ on his/her account, I think he/she was aware that it was a photo that could cause sexual desire or shame.“
