JAY
Band DAY6 continues its spectacular journey, enjoying its best golden age since its debut. Meanwhile, former member JAY (real name Park Jae Hyung), who voluntarily withdrew from the group and drew a line, has become controversial.

JAY appeared as a guest on American radio station “Zach Sang Show” on September 12 and expressed his retirement from DAY6. He is currently a singer in the United States under the name eaJ.
When asked about his thoughts on DAY6’s album, JAY said, “It’s hard for me to see what DAY6 is about. Because it reminds me of a lot of things for a long time,” adding, “When I saw the album, I felt like someone was trying to erase me from their history. I don’t think it’s bad, but it hurt me.“
JAY then said, “Because I really gave up my career in Korea for this team. I fought to promote the team in every way possible. But now that I’m gone, I think they’re trying to erase everything.”
Besides that, regarding the recent rumors of his return to DAY6, he firmly drew a line (crossed out), saying, “There are strange rumors going around. I never said that.”

JAY’s remarks angered DAY6 fans. He debuted in 2015 with SBS’s “K-Pop Star Season 1” but abruptly announced his departure from DAY6 in December 2021.
Among fans, JAY, who had made his withdrawn atmosphere felt in various ways even before leaving, had caused concern and disappointment, and in the end, JAY quickly changed his name to eaJ after his departure, drawing a line under his past with DAY6.
