Group ONF successfully completed its encore concert.
ONF held the “2024 ONF CONCERT [SPOTLIGHT: THE HIDDEN SHADOW]” at Jangchung Gymnasium on September 21 and 22.
The “2024 ONF CONCERT [SPOTLIGHT] IN SEOUL” concert held at KBS Arena in Seoul in April concluded a five-month tour in North America, from the Zepp Tour in Japan to the eight-city North American tour. It was also held online and streamed to many fans at home and abroad, attracting the attention of fans from the concert to the sold-out and limited-view seats.
First of all, ONF, who opened their concerts with “Beautiful Beautiful,” “춤춰,” and “GuCCI,” said:
“We came with an encore concert of “SPOTLIGHT” after 5 months. We were so happy with the last concert that we were looking forward to meeting you. This time, the venue got bigger and thank you for filling it up completely. The last concert was just before the comeback with “Bye My Monster“, and we were nervous about performing a new song at the concert. The FUSEs (fans of the band) really liked it, so we regained our strength through promotion.”
The group continued, “It will be fun to find a change from the last concert. First of all, the opening song has changed from ‘New world‘ to ‘Beautiful beautiful’. In addition, there are many performances that we want to show you as well as songs that have been revealed in advance,” which raised expectations for the concert.
ONF, who celebrated its seventh anniversary this year after performing “소행성“, “My genesis(Übermensch)“, and “Sukhumvit swimming“, looked back on its past and thanked its fans. ONF said, “Our average training period is seven years, but we have been together for 14 years in total. We have been through so much with the members and FUSEs. Let’s continue to be happy together forever.”
In the following performances, the performances were full of emotions with the exciting scenes of “Why”, “The realist“, “누워서 세계 속으로“, “억X억” and “Twinkle twinkle“, as well as “Difficult”, “바람이 분다” and “Chemical type“. In particular, the members made a surprise appearance in the audience on the performance of “누워서 세계 속으로“, and the performance of “Chemical type“, a song from the 8th mini album with a new setlist, receiving great applause for the first time during this performance.
Since then, the show’s atmosphere has reached its peak with explosive energy and performances, including “Moscow Moscow“, “I.T.I.L.U”, “Breath, Haze & Shadow“, and “Bye my monster“, the title track of the 8th mini album, and “The 사랑하게 될 거야” and “It’s raining“, which were very well received during their stage performance at Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom” competition.
In addition, fans drew attention by singing a group song after the performances of “Runaway” and “신세계 (spin off ver.).” In response, ONF held a photoshoot with fans at the venue after performing “여름시” and “여름의 끝” as an encore.
Finally, ONF members shared its thoughts on the encore concert one by one. First, MINGYUN said, “Thank you for staying with us tirelessly from April to October. I hope we continue to make many memories and have a great time.” and U said, “There are so many performances and songs I want to show you, but it was nice to be able to perform other songs at an encore concert.” E-TION said: “Thank you for coming to a bigger space. The reason I like bigger spaces is so I can receive more love from the FUSEs.“
HYOJIN also said, “I felt different and happy to have an encore concert here. The previous concert venue was good, but I think I’m lucky to be with you in a bigger venue. Thank you for your precious time and I hope you remember that we are sold out thanks to FUSEs.”, SEUNGJUN said, “As we were slowly growing, we had a lot of things going on, and I thought we were constantly working hard. It was an important time to get back in the mood while preparing for the concert while feeling the cheers of FUSEs. I will continue to think about showing you good performances and running with energy.” and WYATT said, “There was a time when I sat on the seat and watched when I was a trainee, which touches me even more now. I will make a better stage and concert while promising to do so next time.” The group ended the performance with “Complete”, “Goosebumps”, “Show must go on“, and “여름 쏙” all together.
